This is the privacy policy for the Chrome extension TTD Darshan Alerts & Fast Booking Form Filler. It is written in plain language because the people who use it are pilgrims, not engineers.
This extension is made independently. It is not made by, owned by, endorsed by or affiliated with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
Everything is stored on your own computer, inside Chrome’s own extension storage. None of it is uploaded anywhere.
If you use the form-filling feature, you can save up to 12 pilgrims. For each pilgrim the extension stores the fields TTD’s own booking form asks for:
full name, age, gender, date of birth, ID type, ID number, mobile number, email address, address, city, state and PIN code.
These are encrypted on your computer with AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is derived from a passphrase you choose, using PBKDF2-SHA256 with 600,000 iterations.
Which quotas you follow, how far in advance you want reminders, your chosen language, and whether the on-page button is shown.
The quota release calendar, the public seat counts, and headlines from TTD’s news site. This is public information, the same for every user.
If you add a booking to be reminded about, the extension stores what you typed: a label, the date, the reporting time, the number of pilgrims and your note.
When the extension last checked for updates, and whether that check succeeded.
The extension makes a small number of ordinary web requests, on a timer, to fetch public information. No personal data is attached to any of them. They carry no name, no identifier, no cookie from your TTD account, and nothing you typed into the extension.

The maker’s own site: a copy of TTD’s public release calendar (checked first, with TTD’s own page used whenever the copy is missing or out of date), short notices from the maker such as “TTD’s site is down”, and the optional “For pilgrims” list only when you switch it on |
As with visiting any website, the servers that answer these requests can see the internet address (IP address) your request came from. That is unavoidable for any software that fetches information from the internet, and it is the only thing about you those servers receive. The maker does not use it to build a profile of you and does not link it to anything else.
That is the complete list. The extension talks to no other server. There is no analytics service, no crash reporter, no advertising network, no font or script loaded from elsewhere, and no code downloaded and run after installation.
When you are on TTD’s booking pages, the extension can show a small “Fill my details” button. If you press it, the extension types your saved details into the form in front of you.
The extension asks for four permissions and no more:
It also needs access to the three websites listed in the table above, and to no others. It cannot see your browsing history, your tabs, your other websites or your downloads.
The side panel has a clearly-marked section linking to the maker’s own website and Android app. Those are the maker’s pages, not TTD’s. Nothing opens unless you tap it.
If you switch on the optional “For pilgrims” list — it is off by default — some entries in it may be affiliate links, each marked as such. If you buy through one, the maker may earn a commission. Nothing is added to your price, nothing opens unless you tap it, and these links are never sent to you as a notification.
Your data is never sold, never rented and never shared. This is not a promise about how it is handled after collection — it is simply that the data never leaves your computer, so there is nothing to share.
There is no copy anywhere else for you to ask about.
The extension is meant for adults booking a darshan. It does not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you save a child’s details as one of your pilgrims, those details are treated exactly like any other — encrypted on your own computer and never transmitted.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the previous version is replaced on this page. A change that affects what leaves your computer will also be described in the extension’s own update notes.
